Stay Alert Till You Are In The Flesh
Sin is closer than you think if you don't actively pursue Jesus. We are not created to chill and Netflix. But to be still and know that He is God.
Lucifer was in the presence of God but was only thinking for himself. Instead of emptying himself to be filled with God's glory, he filled himself with pride and eventually emptied himself of God's glory.
When you sit to pray at home or church, privately or in fellowship, speak out the goodness of God by giving thanks and glorifying Him as you think about who He is.
Since the fall, sin has been actively pursuing man. (1 Peter 4:8)
Adam and Eve had it all till they had nothing. Satan indulged man in conversation by making him feel he lacked knowledge.
If we abide in Him, He will abide in us. Remaining in Christ cleans us and protects us from lies and deception. (John 15:3)
Cain killed Abel after God told him that sin was at the door, pursuing him to rule over him. Cain was depressed and dejected because of his wrongdoing. God warned him to stay in God's presence because sin was at the door. (Genesis 4:7)
Don't forget you are on a battlefield as long as you are in the flesh.
When sad or depressed, or anxious, come to Jesus. Lay your burdens before Him. Repent, restore, renew, and be refined in Jesus' name.
We can do a lot of things we know are right and still be far away from God. A relationship turns into a ritual, and we find ourselves worshipping an idol. If actively pursue Jesus, sin will remain behind. If we don't, sin catches up.
Pour your heart into God daily so He can prepare you for His coming. The time of Jesus' return is here.
Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
