Spirit-led Mentality Of Success

Paul writes I know how to get along and live humbly [in difficult times], and I also know how to enjoy abundance and live in prosperity. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret [of facing life], whether well-fed or going hungry, whether having an abundance or being in need.

Then he says, I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfil His purpose... I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.] (Philippians 4:12‭-‬13)

As we near the coming of the Lord, do we have this mind of Paul? Are we also ready to face the challenges and prepare for it?

The true mentality of success is learning to stay grounded in Jesus, no matter the path you need to take in life. Rich or poor, hungry or well-fed.

Most people claim to be ready when they live in abundance, but when the truth seeks them out, they get found desperately in need of a revival.

The young man lived in abundance, but refuused when Jesus called him to follow Him.

This state is now common among believers today. The very thought of having to lose material and financial loss is unthinkable. They get troubled and attack any teaching on those lines.

Jesus warned about becoming a slave to material and financial prosperity. Most fail to realise that the mastery of money is god-like. Jesus also calls it the deceitfulness of riches. Paul, writing to Timothy, warns him about how the rich fall into temptation and a snare and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition (1 Timothy 6:9). He insists to be content with food and clothing as Jesus said in Matthew 6:24-34, never to worry about material or financial needs but to seek the Holy Spirit and righteousness.

How did Paul, an abundantly rich man before being saved, learn to overcome all odds in life? He attested the fact to the grace of God, and gave God all the glory. Pursuing the call of God upon his life, he suffered and prospered as Christ strengthened him daily.

God has called us with a high, heavenly and holy calling. Jesus desires us to strive in prayer all the more now than ever before. Spread the gospel every chance you get and be ready for His appearing.

Be filled with the love of God and keep other activities on a need basis. Get ready! Our redemption is drawing near.

Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
