I don't see how I'm growing in faith at all

“I don’t see myself growing in faith at all. I don’t see any improvement in church or the servants of God”, said a new believer who’s already received the Holy Spirit.

Confused and disillusioned he stopped coming to church. When asked specific questions about his life, he realised he was thinking incorrectly. He easily got distracted by people and situations. He had lost his focus on Jesus.

What to ask God in prayer for growing in faith, in Christ?

3 things we can focus on apart from many other amazing qualities in Jesus.

1. Jesus is our EXAMPLE
2. Fill with the COMPASSION of Jesus
3. LOVE like Jesus

Servants of God need to be examples for the glory of God. But, if they aren’t, don’t fret about it and let your spiritual life go for a toss. Seek Jesus in the word and in prayer everyday. The Bible directs us to only look at the author and finisher of our faith.

How to look at Jesus?

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Hebrews 12:1,2

Desire the compassionate heart of Jesus that manifests miracles. When we rejoice in the love of God through the Holy Spirit, and hope in God, He leads us into miracles. Jesus moved with compassion, blessed the five loaves and two fishes which fed thousands.

Jesus loves us like no one else can. Ever. Even today, as we fail in keeping our commitments to Him, He is faithful. When we repent of our sins, He is ever ready to forgive us and help us grow.

Is it possible to stop talking about Jesus? Never! There is so much to Him that we need all eternity to savour His beauty and love.

Burdened? come to Jesus, He will give you rest. Maranatha, Praise God and Amen!
