How To Understand Your Calling?

Do you understand your calling as a child of God? You may not be a designated servant of God. You may not have had a “calling for full-time ministry” according to how you understand it because of the church you go to. Does that mean you don’t have a calling to serve God? Every Spirit baptised believer is called to be a king and a priest.

And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. (Revelation 1:5, 6).

The devil has deceived many believers today. Separating them from walking in the high standards of faith and love God has called them into. Many are also doing ministry to make money; to manipulate for selfish needs, to get attention or be famous, or boost their own ego.

Ministry needs to be a natural transition of your loving walk with God. The servant of God (ordained minister) and believer are both called to follow Jesus. When you truly begin to follow Jesus, you will hear Him and live for the glory of God (John 10:27). God uses the minister to teach you how to live as he lives as an example of those very teachings. God does not ask us to look at the minister but discern his message and walk humbly looking at Jesus.

To understand your calling cancel your "membership" and know you are a member of the body of Christ

Romans 12:4-8 gives a clearer picture concerning every believer. Do not live as members of a church. Live as the members of the body of Christ. These ministries of grace will work naturally for all who love Jesus and want to be like Him.

Sometimes we may find ourselves living among much evil or slackness of people around us. It is where God has placed us to minister in love.

May God help us to minister in love as we love God wholeheartedly each day. Maranatha, praise God and Amen.
