What does it mean to stand? How can I stand when God fights my battles? 

What do we stand on? We stand on God's word (2 Timothy 3:16). God has also promised to save, heal, deliver and prepare us for His soon return.

STANDING ON THE PROMISES OF GOD

King Jehoshaphat waited in prayer, seeking the promise of God to fight for him. The enemy was too large for him to fight and win. He got every single person, including children, to fast and pray.

LIVE THE HIGHER DOCTRINAL TRUTHS

God calls and separates people for Himself. The bride of Christ has the highest standards to uphold till Jesus comes. The New Testament is rich with doctrinal truths for all who seek Jesus sincerely.

LOVE CORRECTION

A Father corrects his children as long as the child is under his protection. Abide in Christ, and He will abide in you. You will be cleaned and prepared for the coming of the Lord.

EXPECT REPROOF

A Father disciplines his child. God, the Father, chastises his children. It sets us straight as we seek to do God's will.

FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS 

God's word is full of wisdom - instructions that will keep us in the narrow path to eternal life. Love and delight in the Word of God. 

When many walked away from following Jesus, Peter and the disciples remained. Why? Jesus spoke the words of eternal life. 

Study your Bible. It's full of the words of eternal life.
