How to love your family as children of the Most High?
A young man caught the virus. A few days later, his parents fell sick. It was said they caught the virus through their only child. The parents died. The young man is an orphan today.
This isn’t a story of a non believer. It’s a story of a believer. Why share such saddening news?
We often hear young believers worry about their parents salvation. When you lose anyone in your family, and you think they are not saved, trust Christ to do what is right.
God has promised us in His word that He will save the entire household.
“And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”
Acts 16:31
The time that you have with them, love and care for them. Help them see the power of God working in and through you. Whether it’s parents or siblings, everyone’s watching you transform. Which way you transform is as critical for you as it is for them.
Also, never assume just because your parents are saved you can live as you like. We need to walk holy and blameless before God. Only Jesus can help us with that kind of walk.
Love your family as Jesus loves you
God gave us the Holy Spirit to be refreshed and renewed so we can present our bodies as a living sacrifice holy and acceptable to Him. When we are renewed we will know what is good, acceptable and the perfect will of God (Romans 12:1,2).
I never knew how to love, but everyday is a day of learning God’s love. I have seen God bring great endings with those who He gave me. Not just own family, but also the new and growing family in Christ Jesus.
Give your time to God and He will bless the time you have with your loved ones. Jesus is coming soon. Maranatha, Praise God and Amen!
