How did Jesus feel about the unbelief of people?

Are you living in belief or unbelief?

Often, we take our Christian walk for granted and fall out of His doctrine, correction, reproof, and instruction in righteousness (1 Timothy 3:16). Our cultural conditioning or the old natures constantly seek re-entry into our lives. What Paul says about the flesh fighting the spirit is a daily battle we face as Christians. When the flesh overcomes the spirit of man, we fall into unbelief.

Jesus reacted strongly at the unbelief of people

When Jesus visited his hometown of Nazareth, He marvelled at the unbelief the Jews showed (Matthew 13:54-58). To them, Jesus was a carpenter's son, not the Messiah who came to save the World. They could not perceive using their spiritual vision because they were already locked in a fleshly one. Unbelief broke them off, and today only those who repent are being grafted back again (Romans 11:19-21).

Jesus wept because of the unbelief found in Mary and Martha after Lazarus died. Despite Jesus telling them not to worry, they could not fathom Lazarus coming back to life from the dead

At Jarius' home, Jesus sent those with unbelief out of the room. He did not want them around. What spiritual company are you keeping? Only when those who believed stayed in the room Jesus healed the daughter.

Jesus reminded the disciples of the need for praying and fasting when delivering certain types of demonic possession (Mark 9:17-29). Deeper our consecration, the greater the belief. When the father cried out to Jesus about helping his unbelief, Jesus delivered the child.

Jesus called out the hardness of heart that caused unbelief in the disciples who did not believe He rose.

Unbelief cannot prepare us for the coming of the Lord. God cannot graft us into Christ with belief (Romans 11:21-24). Let us labour to enter that rest, dear brothers and sisters.

Prepare yourself to meet Jesus. Praise God, and Amen.
