Examine Your Heart Before It Is Too Late

Can you leave all for Jesus? Lot’s wife could not leave the land of Sodom and Gomorrah. She turned into a pillar of salt because her heart was fixed on Sodom. She had laid up treasures for herself on earth (Matthew 6:19). What happened? She saw her treasures burnt down to nothing.

Everything she loved came to nought.

It is impossible to leave all until you love God with all your mind, heart, soul and strength.

Shifting schools, graduation day, and moving jobs leave us sad. But we get over it with time. Sin conditioned us to love our family (blood relations), our land, and our nation and be proud of our cultures and people on Earth. Jesus says to labour for eternal life. For the mansion, He is preparing for you and the body of Christ. Without the culture of the Word and fellowship of the Holy Spirit, we are dead or full of darkness.

Lot was a righteous man, but his wife loved her old life. She lived with him, bore kids and even got them married. But she loved her life in Sodom more than her new family in God. She loved the place despite the evil that had filled up worth destroying. The pleasures and luxuries of Sodom were most pleasing to her.

Examine your heart and see where your treasure is.

Is your heart charged with an ungodly love for the things and people in this world? Lot's wife never learned anything from Lot. She was too consumed by her earthly inclinations. You cannot be a servant to God and Money.

You are redeemed from the earth and from men. Prepare yourself to meet Jesus.

Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
