Esteem Others Better
What an amazing standard we have of the love of God through Christ Jesus concerning fellowship!
Paul writes how we need to esteem others better than ourselves. Most saints are failing to uphold this character today, more than ever before.
WHAT IS STOPPING US FROM ESTEEMING OTHERS BETTER THAN US?
It is the love of money. The pride in this life about church and workplace positions, finances, material possessions, outward religious fervour, and knowledge without love can never help us esteem others better than us.
Not only should we esteem others better, but we need to be interested in their spiritual growth (Philippians 2:3-5). It is the mind of Christ.
WHAT'S WRONG WITH MANY SAINTS TODAY?
They love their fellow ministers, children and family more than others. God is not pleased with such character. Jesus teaches that we need to HATE our family members (Luke 14:26). Which means we cannot compromise our faith just because we are closely related to them in the flesh or earthly association. Jesus is the only closest family and friend we need to have for us to be the godly company to all whom God has given us.
Jesus gave up more than we can ever imagine by coming to be with us, and showing us the way. He esteemed Himself lower than others. His humility and lowliness of heart are the highest standards for any human being. He was interested in us and continues to be interested in us personally so we can sit with Him on His throne!
We need to overcome our pride and prejudices to truly live for Jesus. Be filled with the mighty anointing of the Holy Spirit daily.
Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
