Don’t let your struggles define your future

Are you struggling with your walk with God?

The initial Christian walk may feel and look sketchy like Peters did. Peter lied, denied, and spoke against Jesus. He slept during prayer and got jealous of John. We see many shortcomings in his life that ideally should have sent him away from God.

But what made Peter the disciple, a mighty apostle?

Three things that Peter knew for sure prepared him for an explosive future for the glory of God.

  1. Peter believed that Jesus was the Son of God. This revelation came to him from the Father. Our salvation and belief in Christ are of the Father. Never doubt Jesus as the Son of God and God. Peter requested an impossible task and performed it by walking on water. He recognized Jesus as the true God.

  2. He knew Jesus had the words of eternal life. When many left Jesus, he stayed with a few others because he believed in the words of Jesus. Do you believe in the words of Jesus? Do you believe in the word of the Almighty God? No Word of God ever returns unfinished! Believe and see the glory of God.

  3. Jesus asked him thrice, do you love me? Peter's answer was a vehement yes! Peter loved Jesus and became the overseer of the flock of Jesus.

When these three are clear to you, you will receive a mighty anointing as you wait in prayer as Peter did at the upper chamber. The Mighty anointing of the Holy Spirit turned Peter from becoming a Jesus murderer to a lover who died for Jesus.

Get up and walk in Jesus' mighty name!

Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
