Do you feel spiritually blind?
Those who cannot see with their natural eyes still have hope for eternal life. But the spiritually blind have no hope, only hell.
As believers, we cannot afford to return to our former state.
What are the natures that make us spiritually blind?
Overcome wickedness and wicked company as they thrive in darkness. Light is for the upright and righteous. The wicked sow in evil and live blind. (Psalms 97:11)
Unbelief darkens our inner vision from God's promises to heal, deliver and provide in this life (2 Corinthians 4:4).
Proud natures cloud our minds from leaning on God (Jeremiah 13:15,16).
Hatred (1 John 2:11) pushes us deeper into bondage.
Eyes (Matthew 6:22) are the light of the body. God desires Holiness.
Worldliness (Ephesians 4:17,18) blurs our vision and keeps us from setting our affection on things above.
Followers of Christ will not be blind (John 8:12). When we stop looking at Jesus, we lose our spiritual vision.
Whitened sepulchres (Matthew 23:24). Be free from hypocrisy and lies that project us as clean before the world but leave us empty and vacant inside.
You can do this! Really? No. You can overcome these natures only through Christ. Let Jesus into your heart for Him to drive out all the evil qualities in our hearts.
Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
