🌼 Just like the slab of Salt, formed inside the pit, is BROKEN and then purified to get a more finer quality of salt...., we who are the salt of the earth, will be taken through a process of being broken and then made into a BLESSING for others.

🌼 The little boy 👦 with the five barley loaves and two fishes was so captivated with the words of Jesus, that he forgot to have his meal!! John 6:1-14. However Praise God, HIS LITTLE MEAL TURNED TO BE A BLESSING FOR THE 5000 MEN GATHERED THERE! Jesus took the 5 loaves and 2 fishes in His hands, gave thanks and the disciples distributed it among the people.

🌼 Salt is important because food without salt is rather unpleasant to be eaten! Salt adds taste to the food — Can that which is unsavoury be eaten without salt? or is there any taste in the white of an egg? Job‬ ‭6:6‬. Well, there you go!! White of an egg is full of protein and a strong prayer life is compared with the white of an egg. Yes, praying is a hard exercise, nevertheless only those who know the value of this protein will have it gladly 😊

🌼 Jesus compares the Salt of the Earth with the Light of the World. Mathew 5:13,14. He continues saying — Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew‬ ‭5:16‬. Did you know — Salt water is a good conductor of electricity? Well, Jesus wasn’t wrong when He compared the salt of the earth with the light of the world!! 😊

🌼 Salt is used for marinating meat — done for preservation, increasing its flavour and also keeps it in a good condition. Spiritually, being salted refers to sanctification. Jesus was salted for our sakes and so He says — And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. John‬ ‭17:19‬. Jesus did no sin, He knew no sin and in Him was no sin; even then, He set an example of sanctifying by perfect obedience and humility. May the Lord help us to be salted so that we in turn can be a blessing for others!!
