God’s love is a love that gives. He gave us freely many gifts for us to give to others.
He gave us the gift of salvation (Ephesians 2:8), so we can share Christ with others.
He gave us the gifts of grace (Romans 12:6-8), to give according to His will.
He gave us the gifts in the baptism of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:8-10), so we can be of edification, exhortation and comfort to others. Behold his mighty things, and reveal to the world, setting people free from captivity.
Dear Spirit Baptised Believer, you say, you have no gift? That is a lie of the devil. You are already gifted. Stop looking at your weaknesses and inadequacies, stop being selfish and start giving all you have. You were created to glorify God. Daily.
It’s not how much you have, it’s how much you can give. Cheerfully. Joyfully. Happily. Jesus did it for us. It’s your turn now. It’s my turn now!
“Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2 Corinthians 9:7)
“Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.” (Matthew 10:8)
